Community Renewable Energy Consultant
£26,000 p.a.
18 month full-time contract based in Ludlow, Shropshire
Energy4All is seeking a Technical Consultant to work alongside the Project Manager delivering our innovative Sharenergy project in the Rural Regeneration Zone of the West Midlands, covering most of Shropshire and Herefordshire and part of Worcestershire.
Sharenergy provides support and funding for community groups to develop serious renewable energy projects which will be owned and operated by local co-operatives. We are currently working with wind, hydro, biogas and biomass projects from 10kW to 6MW.
The Technical Consultant will be a consistent resource available to all groups and projects to help them drive through the feasibility and planning phase and get their projects built.
You understand the theory of renewable energy technologies
You can get the best out of both experts and non-experts
You know a kW from a kWh and a FiT from a ROC
You have got your hands dirty with renewable energy
You have worked with and probably in grassroots community groups
You like your learning curves steep
You believe in and care about what we are doing.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a group of people who are shaping their own sustainable energy destiny.
