LOCAL FOOD PROJECT
GROW, COOK AND SHARE COORDINATOR
35 hours per week. 4 year contract
Salary £20,255 per annum plus benefits

South Shropshire Housing Association in partnership with Ludlow 21 wishes to recruit
a coordinator for this exciting new Lottery-funded project. If you are passionate about
local food issues and sharing your knowledge and skills with communities and schools
in Craven Arms and Ludlow East then we are keen to receive an application from you.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Take the lead in delivering this project by coordinating training in gardening,
cooking and distribution skills in two local communities

• Motivate and organise people of all backgrounds and ages to learn about and
enjoy growing, cooking and sharing locally grown food

• Work closely with community-based services, including schools, and the local
community

• Oversee the work of a community gardener including capital works related to
gardening

• Record and monitor the project and report to a steering committee

• You must be very well organised, self motivated, flexible and able to work on your
own initiative.

South Shropshire Housing Association in partnership with Ludlow 21 wishes to recruit
a community gardener for this exciting new Lottery-funded project.

You will work with our project coordinator and take responsibility for developing and
supporting school, home and community gardens and a garden swap scheme.

We are looking for an experienced gardener who can:

• Demonstrate practical skills of vegetable and fruit production

• Impart their knowledge and skills and enthuse others about growing their own food

• Work well in a community setting and relate to people of all backgrounds and ages

• Manage a complex workload, including capital works to develop new gardens.

You must be very well organised, self motivated, flexible and able to work on your
own initiative.

The closing date for both the above posts will be 10am Thursday 12th November.
Posts involving contact with children or vulnerable adults will be subject to an
appropriate criminal record disclosure.
